NPP would capture Asuogyaman seat

Akrade (E/R), Feb. 26 GNA- The Eastern Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Adi Ankamah has predicted that the party would wrestle the Asuogyaman seat from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the December general elections.

He therefore asked the party members to intensity the campaign towards the December elections.

Nana Adi Ankamah who was addressing a capacity building workshop for polling station officers of the party for the Asuogyaman constituency at Akrade on Wednesday, to monitor the registration exercise slated from March 16 to 29, said efforts are being made to provide logistics and incentives in the performance of their duties. He said 565 polling station officers from the 113 polling stations in the Asuogyaman would be trained adding that the party would train a total of 2,000 registration officers to man the registration centres in the region.

Nana Adi Ankamah asked the polling station officers to embark on vigorous campaign to ensure that party members registered when the registration exercise begins.

He said the NPP after its three years administration had provided a number of development projects to raise the living standards of the people as compared to the 20 years of the NDC rule.

Nana Adi Ankama asked Ghanaians to discard the NDC's propaganda against the NPP since it is a calculated attempt of the NDC to discredit the NPP on its achievements.

Similar training programmes have been organized at Kwaku South, Mpreaso, Afram Plains North and South and Atimpoku.
