NGO calls for love in the home

...to reduce children on the streets

New Tafo (E/R), Dec 02, GNA- Mrs Angela Dwamena-Aboagye, the Executive Director of The ARK Foundation, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), has said despite efforts by the government and many NGOs to get children off the streets, the number of street children kept increasing because of lack of love in many homes.

She therefore called on parents to promote love in their homes and extend it to their children to enable them feel safe and happy to stay home.

Mrs Dwamena-Aboagye said this at a campaign of her organization on violence against women in the Eastern Region at the New Tafo Bethel Presbyterian Church on Tuesday. She called on Christians to pray for peace in families and show concern for one another.
