NFFBG gives bus to EPUC SRC

Juapong, June 15, GNA - National Fish Farmers Brigade, Ghana (NFFBG) on Wednesday presented a Hyundai Bus to the Students Representative Council (SRC) of the Evangelical Presbyterian University College (EPUC) in Ho.

The Brigade earlier donated a computer laptop with a printer and photocopier to the SRC.

Students who were waiting expectantly in Ho for the arrival of the bus from Juapong went into wild jubilation amidst drumming and singing when the bus pulled up at the entrance of the University in a convoy.

The presentation followed an appeal for assistance made by the SRC to Ghana NFFBG at the launch of this year's SRC Week celebrations of the University.

Reverend Prince Dugah, Executive Director of the NFFBG, said the presentations were in fulfillment of promises made to the SRC and hoped the vehicle and equipment would enhance activities of the SRC.

He said the NFFBG was happy to be associated with the EPUC and reiterated its commitment to sponsoring needy students of the University.

"Human Resource is the foundation of every nation, so we are happy to be investing in the development of human resource for the nation," Rev. Dugah said.

Mr Samuel Opoku-Afriyie, SRC President of the EPUC and other SRC executives received the presentation.

The SRC President commended the NFFBG for the support and said the bus would be useful for educational trips.

Rev. Winfried Hayford Yao Azornu, Acting Manager of Evangelical Presbyterian Education Unit, appealed to individuals and organisations to support the EPUC to enable it to rub shoulders with other well-established Universities.

In May this year, the University received a 65-seater bus from government in fulfillment of a promise made to it.
