Municipal Assembly supports two communities

Sekondi, Sept. 6, GNA- Mr. Philip K. Nkrumah, Shama Ahanta East metropolitan Chief Executive, on Friday assured communities, which have initiated school buildings, that the assembly will assist them to complete the projects.

He said this will be part of the efforts to make education accessible and within the reach of many people especially those in the rural communities.

Mr. Nkrumah said this when he presented 10 packets of roofing sheets and nails valued at 15.2 million cedis to the Ntarmakrom and Anoe communities to enable them to complete their school projects. Work on the projects, which were initiated by the communities came to a stand still due to lack of funds.

Receiving the items on behalf of the two communities, Nana Kojo Nkrumah, Abusuapanin of Anoe expressed his appreciation to the assembly. He said presently, school children were temporarily being housed in a wooden structure.
