Minister advises citizens of Osu to unite for development

Nii Armah Ashietey, Minister of Youth and Employment has called on the people of Osu to unite to forge ahead in development.

He said: “In unity lies strength and that a house divided cannot stand,” adding Osu citizens being one family should not allow petty squabble to draw them back in their efforts in developing the community.

Nii Ashietey who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Osu-Klottey gave the advice when he called on the Osu Mantse, Nii Okwei Kinka Dowuona VI at Osu to express gratitude to the traditional authorities and his constituents for voting for him to retain his seat.

He urged the chief and people to lend their support and protect the Osu Stool so that the indigenes can boast of being part of the royal heritage.

The MP assured the chief and elders that he would do what is within his powers for peace and development to prevail at Osu.

“Everything is possible if we all come together to work towards it,” he added. Nii Kinka Dowuona said the development of Osu should be a prime concern of all to facilitate the developmental road-map.

He asked for regular interaction between him and the Minister to find solutions to some of challenges facing the people, especially unemployment among the youth.

Nii Kinka Dowuona congratulated the Minister for fighting hard to retain the seat and assured him of the support of the Osu Stool and the people in his endeavours.

The chief used the occasion to advise the youth to desist from social vices such as taking of alcoholic beverages which could ruin their lives.
