Market woman clean up Kasoa Market

Kasoa (CR), Oct 13, GNA - Capt Steve Armah (RTD), the District Chief Executive for Awutu-Effutu-Senya, has appealed to people in the district to make sound environmental hygiene their priority as their contribution to national health delivery system.

He expressed regret that in spite of numerous calls almost all the major towns in the district have virtually been engulfed by filth. Capt. Armah was addressing volunteers, mostly market women, after a four-hour clean up exercise at Kasoa over the weekend.

He commended the participants and appealed to them to make the exercise a weekly feature to make Kasoa clean all the time Capt. Armah ordered developers who are busily constructing stores and other structures at unauthorized placed at the market square to stop forthwith.

''The Awutu-Effutu-Senya District Assembly will demolish them within the week to serve as a deterrent to other lawbreakers in the area," he declared.

He said investigations would be thoroughly conducted into the activities of illegal developers in the town and people found to have aided certain individuals in the town to put up unauthorized buildings would be dealt with together with the offenders.
