Man killed by hit-and-run driver

A man, believed to be in his early 40s but yet to be identified has been found dead in a pool of blood in a gutter along Koforidua to Aboabo Road in the New Juaben Municipality of the Eastern Region.

Kasapa News has gathered, the deceased who was riding a bicycle was knocked down from the back by a hit and run driver at dawn while riding a bicycle and negotiating a curve on the road.

The Station officer at the New Juaben Municipal Police Command, Chief Inspector Ebenezer Sakyi confirmed to Kasapa News that the accident squad got the information around 6:45 am hence went for the body and deposited at St. Joseph Hospital.

He said Police is waiting for family of the deceased to report at the Police station for identification.
