MTN launches “Kof-City Fest” in Koforidua

MTN, one of the giant telecommunications networks in Ghana, has launched what it termed “Kof-City Fest” in the Eastern Regional capital Koforidua with varied activities including giveaways to its valued subscribers.

The festival, which commenced on Wednesday and scheduled to end on December 24, is characterized by activities such as health walk, pool party and health screening among others.

It also involves a football gala among eight communities in Koforidua which are Betom, Nsukwao, Zongo, Ogua, Osabene, Sorodae, Effiduase and Professionals.

Launching the programme, Mr Prince Charles Owusu-Nyarko, Manager for both Eastern and Volta Regions for MTN, said the “Kof-City Fest” was designed to boost up the main traditional festival of the chiefs and people of New Juaben.

He said, “Kof-City Fest” has come to stay and MTN aimed at using it to make the Koforidua township vibrant with entertaining and educative activities.”

Mr Owusu-Nyarko also announced that, MTN had come out with special packages to make its customers happier in the yuletide and invited more customers to subscribe to the network for giveaways.

He disclosed that, MTN had prepared amounts of GH¢ 2,000.00, GH¢1,000.00 and GH¢500.00 as well as airtime and paraphernalia for the winner, first runner-up and second runner-up respectively for the football gala which will end on December 06.

Mr Joe Vanny, a representative of the communities, expressed appreciation to MTN for instituting the “Kof-City Fest” to unite the people of Koforidua.

He called on the community football teams and their supporters to comport themselves throughout the festival to make the initiative successful.
