MTN-Ghana donates to Savelugu Senior High School (SHS)

MTN Ghana has donated a 40 inch LCD Samsung, a DST satellite and other accessories to the Savelugu Seniro High School (SAVES) in the Savelugu municipality of the Northern Region.

The donation was part MTN's 21 days Yello Care campaign geared towards assisting deprived communities in the country with the necessary support needed to improve and better their living conditions.

The MTN Yello Care focuses on investing and given back to the communities they are working with through education, health and economic empowerment. Speaking during a short ceremony, Northern sector Area Sales Manager for MTN, Moomen Tawfiq Said in line with this year's theme and the company's vision to lead the delivery of a bold digital world, MTN Ghana is focusing on inculcating Information and Communication Technology into teaching and learning to help bridge the digital divide.

According to Moomen, MTN Ghana has implemented measures to enhance ICT education in the country, thus, training of ICT teachers in educational institutions, donating computers and it accessories.

The theme of this year's MTN Yello Care which is on the theme; "investing in Education for all" is also geared towards equipping and enhancing educational institutions which ICT equipment's to ensure quality education in the country. Assistant Headmater in-charge of Administration, Timothy Tia Tampuli applaud the MTN Yellow Care team for such kind gesture towards educational development in the country.

Mr. Tampuli assured management of MTN of putting the items into good use. He said the LCD TV will go a long way to enhance teaching and learning in the school.

Meanwhile, Staff of the company used the opportunity to interact with some of the students by offering career guidance to them as well as motivating and encouraging them to take their studies serious to become better future leaders of the country.
