MP for Kade donates computers to schools

Kade(E/R), March 02, GNA - The Member of Parliament for Kade, Mr Ofosu Asamoah, has donated a computer each to 10 schools in the constituency to help in the teaching and learning of Information Communication Technology. The schools include Asuom Methodist Primary, Asuom Senior High, Kade Roman Catholic Junior High, Asuom Islamic Junior High, Subi Presbyterian Junior High, Nkwantanang Methodist Junior High School and Daman Junior High schools. In presenting the items, Mr Asamoah said he would make a similar donation to all the 83 junior and Senior High schools in the constituency.

He said the donation formed part of his vision to improve academic performance in the Kade area. Mr Asamoah said it was unfortunate that though ICT had been introduced in the academic curriculum, most schools, especially in the rural areas did not have computers. Receiving the computers on behalf of the schools, Mr Eugene Baah Adinkrah, Community Participation Coordinator at the Ghana Education Service, thanked the MP for the donation. The MP also donated 20 bags of cement to the Kade Methodist Primary School for the renovation of the school block that was damaged during a rainstorm.
