MP builds dormitory for Nyinahin Catholic SHS

Nyinahin (Ash), July 6, GNA - The Member of Parliament (MP) for Atwima-Mponua, Mr Isaac Kwame Asiamah, has funded the construction of a new dormitory for the Nyinahin Catholic Senior High School (SHS).

This has been hailed as a big relief to the school that was grappling with the problem of students' accommodation following the destruction of the boys' dormitory by fire about two months ago.

Nana Amanpene Twum Boateng II, the Chief of Nyinahin, on Monday inspected the project and lauded the MP for his initiative.

He, on behalf of the traditional council, donated GH¢1,000.00 in support of students who lost everything they had to the fire.

The chief also appealed for the establishment of a Fire Station at Nyinahin, the District Headquarters to allow for prompt response to fire emergencies in the area.

He said the present situation where firefighters would have to be called from Kumasi and Bibiani to tackle fires in the district was not the best and needed to change.

Mr Kwasi Acheampong, the Headmaster, said the school was grateful to both the MP and the chief for their assistance.
