Lamudi Ghana supports University of Ghana Real Estate Club

The Managing Director (MD) of Lamudi Ghana has advised members of the University of Ghana Real Estate Club to be cautious of the brand they portray to the world online.

According to Akua Nyame-Mensah, employees take time to go through the profiles of candidates on various social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn. She warned, “Employees search candidates who apply for jobs in companies. What are we going to find when we google you?”

Ms. Nyame Mensah took members of the club through different ways of enhancing their personal brands online. She advised them to keep their brands consistent on the World Wide Web.

In her presentation during the real estate seminar at the SRC Union building, the MD of Lamudi advised, “You need to create a clear distinction of what you do on your Facebook page - it’s either you use it for professional or for personal purposes. Never mix the two.”

Real Estate Broker of Windsor Realty, Richard Gyawu-Mensah took members of the club through the various careers in the real estate sector. “There are so many careers in the sector but the most important attribute every graduate needs to build is integrity – being truthful is the standard you all need to go by.”

The exhibition and seminar was organized by the University of Ghana Real Estate Club in partnership with the Graduate Students Association of Ghana (GRASAG) to educate members of the club on job prospects and to provide rudiments of the real estate sector.

The seminar was sponsored by the Ghana Home Loans and Lakeside Estates and it was powered by Lamudi Ghana. The Club also won the student training for real estate club over the weekend, during the 7th Edition of the Ghana Property Awards.
