Kwaebibirem Assembly rewards Revenue Collectors

Kade, June 21, GNA - The Kwaebibrem District Assembly has presented various awards to its hard working revenue collectors and institutions. The first prize of a 21-inch television set went to the Boadua branch of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) for collecting 50 million cedis last year.

For collecting 30 million cedis, Mr Reynolds Cudjoe, received the second prize of a tabletop refrigerator while the third prize of a 14-inch television set went to Mr Adda Webatoare, who collected 21 million cedis.

The Presiding Member, Mr George Aboagye, said the Assembly decided to assess the performance of the Revenue Collectors and reward those who excelled, saying, the award would be an annual affair. On behalf of the award winners, Mr Yaw Ayeh, Chairman of the Boadua GPRTU, thanked the District Assembly for the gesture and said it would motivate the collectors to rake in more revenue for the provision of more amenities.
