Nelson Kofi Djabab, the Member of Parliament (MP) of Krachi East Constituency, has launched the 2026 edition of the MP’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) Super Mock Exams to improve academic performance among final-year students in the constituency.

The initiative, which is expected to benefit all BECE candidates in the area, aims to provide students with a realistic examination experience ahead of the national exams.

The mock exams will be standardised, supervised, and marked by experienced educators to ensure quality assessment and feedback.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Djabab noted that the programme forms part of his commitment to strengthening education in the constituency.

He explained that the mock exams would help students identify their weaknesses and build confidence before sitting for the final BECE.

“This intervention is to ensure that no child is left behind. We want our students to be adequately prepared and competitive at the national level,” he stated.

The exams would cover all subjects, including Mathematics, English Language, Integrated Science, Social Studies, and many others, to provide a comprehensive evaluation of students’ readiness.

Receiving the examination materials on behalf of the Municipal Education Director, the Municipal Examinations Coordinator, Michael Asun, commended the MP for the initiative, describing it as timely and impactful.

“This will go a long way to improve the performance of our candidates.

Many students lack access to quality revision materials, and this intervention helps bridge that gap,” he said.

He assured that the Municipal Education Directorate would collaborate with the MP’s office to ensure the smooth and transparent conduct of the exams across all schools in the constituency.

The MP’s office will also oversee the marking process and ensure the timely release of results to guide both teachers and parents in supporting students where improvement is needed.
