The Member of Parliament for the Kade Constituency, Alexander Agyare, has demonstrated a strong commitment to education through his Back to School with Hope initiative in the Kwaebibirem Municipality.
The project recognised and rewarded approximately 300 students, specifically the top two performers from each school across the municipality, to support their transition to senior high and technical education.
At a special durbar held to honour the outstanding students, the MP distributed essential educational materials, including student mattresses, books, and learning supplies, to all 300 beneficiaries.
Speaking at the event, Agyare emphasised the broader societal benefits of education, noting that the advancement of knowledge uplifts not only individuals but the entire community.

He acknowledged that not all families can afford such necessities, making interventions like his vital in ensuring equal opportunities for academic success.
According to him, the initiative represents more than just material support; it is a strategic investment in the future of young people in the municipality.
The MP reiterated his determination to see students excel in their chosen fields, whether in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions or Senior High Schools.
The event drew praise from prominent community figures, including Osabarima Sarpong Kumankoma, Chief of Akyem Adankrono, who described the initiative as “unprecedented” in recent memory.
He revealed that the last time he witnessed such a large-scale educational intervention was in 2002, underscoring the rarity and impact of the MP’s effort.
Emmanuel Asiedu Mantey, the Kwaebibirem Municipal Director of Education, admitted that he initially doubted the initiative’s feasibility when he first heard about it, assuming it might be political talk.

However, he commended the MP for delivering on his promise, stressing that such interventions motivate students to take their studies seriously and foster a culture of academic excellence in the municipality.
He also highlighted the MP’s consistent contributions to education beyond this project, including the donation of motorcycles to facilitate supervision, the construction of school buildings to improve infrastructure, and other initiatives that have transformed the educational landscape of the area.
Parents of the beneficiary students expressed profound gratitude, noting that the support would significantly ease the financial burden of preparing their children for senior high school.
