KNUST Pax Romana donates to Home

Kumasi, April 15, GNA - The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) branch of the International Movement of Catholic Students (Pax Romana), on Friday donated items worth six million cedis to the King Jesus Charity Home at Boadi, near Kumasi. The items included sugar, rice, used clothing, exercise books, pens, pencils and erasers, wooden benches, bags of charcoal and varieties of canned fish.

Making the presentation, Mr Michael Kwasi Paddy, President of the Movement said the donation was part of the group's yearly social assistance to the needy in society. He advised the children to learn hard to enable them become useful citizens in future.

Mr Anthony Kwesivi-Kwevi, Administrator of the Home, who received the items, commended the students for sacrificing their few cedis in supporting the Home.

He appealed to the privileged in society especially Christians to assist the Home in caring for the 145 children.
