KEK Insurance Brokers supports KVOC

Kumasi, Jan. 9, GNA - KEK Insurance Brokers Limited has presented a cheque of 5,000 Ghana cedis to the Kumasi Venue Organising Committee (KVOC) towards the successful hosting of the Ghana 2008 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

The presentation was in response to an appeal for sponsorship made by the KVOC towards the successful organization and hosting of the tournament in Kumasi one of the venues.

Mr Charles Bennin, Northern Sector Area Manager of KEK Insurance Brokers, in an address at the presentation, said the Company would also offer free insurance consultancy services to the KVOC to ensure that all hotels earmarked for the hosting of guests and officials for the tournament had relevant insurance policies including Public/Product Liability policies. This, according to Mr Bennin was to forestall any loopholes likely to arise from the absence of prescribed insurances in the event of accidental injury, poisoning of guests and visitors that might tarnish the reputation of the country.

Mr Bennin said the Company, which had been adjudged as one of the leading insurance companies in the country, took notice of the challenges facing the KVOC and thus responded to the appeal to ensure the success of the tournament. He has therefore appealed to other corporate organizations to respond to the appeal and assist the KVOC to organise a successful tournament in Kumasi.

Professor Kwasi Kwarfo Adarkwa, Chairman of the KVOC, who received the cheque, thanked the management of KEK and assured them that the money would be used for its intended purposes.
