Judge Orders Stolen Sheep To Be Sent To Orphanage Home

A Takoradi district court chaired by Mr Mahamadu Iddrisu on Monday ordered a stolen sheep valued at 150,000 cedis to the Orphans Outreach Evangelistic International Mission (OOEIM) based at Aboadze in the Western Region.

Presenting the sheep on behalf of the court, Mr mark O. K. Parker and Police Inspector Gabriel K. Agbemavah, both officials of the court said the donation was for the upkeep of the children. They said the sheep was seized from a convict who could not disclose the source of the animal.

Mrs Kate Essilfie-Awortwi, acting Mother of the Home, expressed appreciation to the court for being considerate and appealed to those who could afford to come to the aid of the children. She said the Orphanage caters for 64 children aged between six months and 13 years.
