Presenting the items at a short ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Joy Industry, Dr. Manfred Takyi noted that the gesture forms part of their corporate social responsibilities to share with the vulnerable and the sick in the society.

He added that it also forms part of activities to officially launch the industry’s first local radio station “Bryt 99.1 FM” which is aimed to bridging the communication gap between relatives, businessmen and other organizations.

He said that in the quest to promote good health for both the needy, the industry has on Tuesday organized a free health screening which saw more than 1,000 people trooped in to check their health status.

“Joy Industries is committed to promote quality health among the people because we know that a healthy county is a healthy economy” he reiterated.

The Deputy Director of the hospital, Dr. Cardinal Newton who could not hide his delight commended Joy Industries for their love and commitment to promoting good health among the people.

He lamented that Joy Industries has been the first to adopt a ward at the central Government Hospital since its establishment.

According to him many companies and individual usually come to promise the hospital for adoption but could never fulfill any of them for a reason best known to them.

Dr. Newton however pleaded with individuals and other companies to emulate the step of Joy Industries to come and support the hospital.

Ghanaian celebrities such as Adwoa Smart, Kwame Dzokoto, Funny Face, Kwaku Manu, Nana Ama MacBrown among many others were present to support Joy Industries at the presentation yesterday.
