Jak's Nominee for Bole Dce Confirmed

The President's nominee for the position of District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bole District Assembly in the Northern Region, Alhaji Sulemana Adams Achanso, has been confirmed by members of the assembly at Bole.

Alhaji Adams pulled 53 votes as against 3, representing 95% of total votes cast to confirm his nomination.

Addressing the members of the assembly earlier, before the confirmation, the deputy minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Hon. Issah Ketekewu said because the government want to bring the government closer to the people that was why the district assemblies were established to ensure effective development in the country.

Hon. Ketekewu told the members that the DCEs in country represent the government to see to the speedy movement of developments and that was why they are been appointed.

According to the deputy minister, any district without a DCE cannot get its development projects being executed satisfactorily, because the DCEs are the leaders of development.

Hon. Ketekewu stated that the president does not want any vacuum in the Bole district because, he is committed to the development of the area, hence the appointment of Alhaji Achanso.

The deputy northern regional Minister, Mr. Charles Bintim in his remarks told the members of the assembly that whatever they are doing here represent the wishes of the people they are represented and for that matter they should ensure that the people's choice was confirmed.

Hon Bintim said the NPP government is doing anything possible to bring development to the people of Bole area and therefore called on the people to support he government to realize its dreams.

In his acceptance speech, the DCE thank the people for the trust imposed on him.

Alhaji Achanso noted that confirming his nomination as a DCE indicates that the members of the assembly are capable of building partnership that would bring development to the people in the area. He advised them to sustain that partnership in the assembly.

He charged the assembly to desist from political fighting and have the district at heart to ensure a total development in the Bole district.

On those who voted against him, the newly elected DCE said was a clear indication that he should be on his toes to work extra harder. He asked for support from all the people in the area, irrespective of political affiliation to ensure smooth running of the assembly
