Innova DDB donates to Chosen Rehab Centre

Innova DDB Ghana, an advertising agency has donated food items and an unspecified amount of money to the Chosen Rehabilitation Centre in Accra.

The items include bags of rice, used clothing, sugar, soaps and cooking oil.

Mr Joel Nettey, Chief Executive Officer of Innova DDB said, the company has made a commitment to reach out to the less privileged in society every year and the donation was to fulfill that promise.

He said the rehabilitation centre was selected because of the plight of its inmates, adding that, the centre’s initiative is worth supporting and advised inmates of the centre to be humble and law abiding in order to graduate successfully.

Apostle Cobi Washington, Executive Director of Chosen Rehabilitation Centre said, it provides free boarding facilities to rehabilitate drug addicts, street kids and those addicted to alcohol.

He said thousands of inmates have been graduated from the centre and rehabilitation occurs over a period of 3 months after which inmates are reunited with their families and integrated into the society by securing jobs and accommodation for them.

He said the centre has a women and children facility with focus on street children, babies and their addicted mothers, children addicted to drugs and abused HIV/AIDS women and children.

He commended the management and staff of Innova DDB for the donation and called on other organisations and institutions to come to its aid, especially in the area of volunteerism.
