I'm not dead - Sallah breaks on wicked rumours

Dr Seth Kwame Sallah, the Chief Executive Officer of Setho Classic group of companies, has broken his silence on rumours which were being peddled around by people he described as 'enemies of progress' that he was dead.

The young entrepreneur in an exclusive interview with this paper said he was shocked that people could be wishing their fellow humans dead to the extent of announcing their deaths without cross checking just to satisfy their wicked motives.
"I was surprise that people could actually took to the streets wearing whites dresses celebrating that I was dead. I was very surprise. Even if we are enemies, we should not descent that low of wishing your enemies dead", he told this paper almost in tears.

Dr Sallah who admitted that he had been taken ill in the early of this year, said not a serious sickness but he had to take some rest as requested by his doctors and urged his followers and costumers not to attach importance or pay attention to such falsehood.

"About a month ago, false news from unknown sources was heard in the public domain and social media that, was seriously sick and bedridden. Others were also rumouring that I had passed on. But I want to say those wicked rumours were only peddled by my enemies who wished that I should die," he continued.

He said though this false news has spread beyond the borders of Ghana and had generated panic among his friends, clients and followers, he will not attribute it to any particular person or entity and that he has equally forgiven the originators of the false and wicked rumours.
He advised people against behaviours that will dent the image of other persons and the entire Christendom, advising them to seek counsel, adopt good attitude and present a character that depicts the examples of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The CEO, also praised the new Tema Regional Police commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Paul Manly Nchorbilla Awini of his professional approach to the issues of land guards whose activities he says are threatening to collapse Real Estate companies in the country.

He disclosed that developers have always had it tough building on the land they acquire due to the phenomenon of many people laying claim to one parcel of land and using heavily armed landguards to terrorise people who have genuine documents to such lands. This, he said, would be reduced to the barest minimum with the strategy and commitment of the commander, ACP Awini who he said he is leaving no stone unturned to wide out the criminals.

"Even when developers have title to the land, it becomes increasingly difficult to build, as a result of the menace of land guards, who not only intimidate developers but also attack them with machetes, guns and other offensive weapons", he told the paper in his office recently.

He observed that many people who have acquired pieces of land through their sweat have had to abandon them because of threats to their lives. This, the young entrepreneur is worried if care is not taking could end the real estate industry in the country and would increase the housing deficit currently facing the country.

Dr. Sallah continued that real estate companies find it difficult to build because of the incidence of land guards and challenged security agencies to step up their game to help deal with the menace of land guards in our society.

The CEO said such act of lawlessness and indiscipline on the part of individuals who under the guise of protecting their lands without documentary prove or backing, mobilise young men and resource them with all kinds of offensive weapons to cause mayhem and terrorise innocent people immensely undermines law and order and must be dealt with accordingly by the police.

"It has been said that when we arm the land guards, they use those arms at night to undertake robbery and other violent criminal activities. That is why we believe that we must all stand up against these miscreants", he underscored.
