A former Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Asare Bediako has promised he will never neglect party foot soldiers when he voted back as Chairman.

“Truly speaking, it is not easy especially when the party is in opposition but whiles we are in power I will have to do all that I can to help. It’s my dream that when I’m voted into power, I’ll make sure most foot soldiers get something better doing”. He promised in an interview on Kumasi based radio Angel Fm with Kwame Tanko monitored by MyNewsGh.com.

Mr. Bediako, however, accepted the fact that, it is not possible to help everyone but extending a helping hand to some members will bring hope to others who may have been neglected in time past.

He assured he will make sure foot soldiers are well catered for and further commended their tireless efforts to work for the party to come to power.

Mr. Asare Bediako has picked his forms for the position of Ashanti Regional Chairman of his party.

He believes things have not gone well in his party in the region hence his intention to stage a comeback to rescue the party from its current quackmire under the leadership of Bernard Antwi Boasiako affectionately called Chairman Wontumi.

The former chairman indicated his return will inject new ideas to get the party back into its best state adding that, he will make sure there are regular visits to the various constituencies in the region.

He lamented that there are too many conflicts among party members and officials in the region assuring them that when given the mandate he will use every means available to him as a consummate democrat to resolve the raging controversies and make the NPP a formidable force to reckon with.

“There are conflicts in all parties not only the NPP, therefore we have to go to the grassroots to work hard and solve issues which may escalate into something else”. He noted.

He estimated that, out of all the 47 constituencies in the region, there might problems existing in between 15 to 20 constituencies with incumbent MPs and their executives locking horns.

According to him, he is going to appoint someone in charge of operations to resolve the differences that exist in party structures before things get out of hand.
