Human antelope shot dead in Ashanti Reg

A hunter has handed himself over to the police at Manso Ahuoso in the Amansie West District of the Ashanti Region, after he mistakenly shot a 'human' antelope which happened to be his friend, Akwasi K, who happened to be a hunter as well.

The strange incident according to information gathered happened on Sunday May 22, 2016 at Manso Abuoso.

The deceased on a hunting spree chanced upon an antelope grazing in the bush. He reportedly went home to inform his bosom friend, Akwasi Oppong to help him gun down the antelope.

Akwasi Oppong wielding his gun followed his friend into the bush with the hope of laying hands on the antelope. Upon reaching the farm, Akwasi Oppong reportedly fired his gun at the antelope while the deceased stood behind him, but he heard a loud scream ''you've killed me'' after firing the gun.

The antelope according to Alexander Asare chased Akwasi Oppong who took to his heels and after taking shield behind a tree, he saw his friend lying in a pool of blood.

The incident according to some residents is strange and some are still in dismay trying come to terms with it.
