Henric Yeboah urges support for vulnerable groups

Henric Attah Baah Yeboah, CEO of Best Brain Publications, has issued an urgent appeal to individuals and private sector companies to prioritise the care of the needy, especially as the year draws to a close.

Highlighting the critical needs of children’s homes, autistic children, and prisons, Yeboah urged collective action to bring happiness to these vulnerable groups.

“As we eat, we need to remember them,” he stated, emphasizing the importance of shared responsibility.

He underscored the collective nature of such philanthropic efforts, citing the proverb, “One man's hand alone cannot cover God's eye,” which he interpreted as a call for more widespread participation.

“These gestures need more hands, and that's why I am urging others to do more to make them happy,” he added.

Yeboah’s passionate plea came during a significant donation exercise, where Best Brain Publications Ltd presented assorted items worth millions of Ghana Cedis to three vital institutions: a children’s home in Edwenase (Afigya Kwabre South District), an autism care center in Offinso (Offinso South Municipality), and a prison facility in Amanfrom (Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly).

The donated items included bags of rice, cooking oil, drinks, soaps, detergents, toiletries, sanitary items, and cash.

Presenting the items, the CEO explained that the donation was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility initiatives. He affirmed that the well-being of children and inmates was close to his heart, expressing belief that the items would help relieve pressure on the management of these homes.

“It is sad to come across people, especially kids, who have lost their parents and do not experience parental warmth. Therefore, getting close to them, showing them affection, and putting smiles on their faces makes them feel loved,” he elaborated.

Beyond immediate charity, Yeboah also stressed the spiritual imperative behind his message.

“The Bible teaches us to do good, and as Christians, we need to obey the word of God.”

He therefore encouraged everyone to consistently remember these groups to help transform their lives in accordance with biblical teachings. He specifically urged people to show care for prisoners, noting that such acts fulfill God’s commandments.

Yeboah extended his counsel to the broader community, particularly the youth, advocating for love, discipline, and effective anger management. He directly linked these virtues to preventing crime and imprisonment.

“If you love your neighbor, there's no way you would ever pull a trigger, cutlass, knife, or stick to hit him, and you would be brought to prison. I am telling everyone to do good to avoid imprisonment,” he warned.

Gideon Asamoah, PRO of Best Brain Publications, further added that the donation was intended to provide relief to the homes and bring joy to the children, especially during the festive season. He affirmed that the company routinely undertakes such initiatives and would continue to do so, particularly during these periods.

Asamoah also urged other well-to-do individuals and companies to consistently direct their attention to institutions like orphanages and prisons, helping to alleviate the numerous difficulties they face.

Meanwhile, the Directors of the Ashan Children’s Home and the Kings and Queens Care Centre in Edwenase and Offinso raised an alarm regarding a pressing issue of children being abandoned at orphanages by social welfare and police without proper follow-up.

According to them, it is deeply unfortunate that many individuals, after bringing autistic children and orphans to these homes, subsequently abandon them without providing any follow-up care or support.
