"Help give proper training to school children"-DCE

Kumasi, Aug. 16, GNA - The Afigya Kwabre District Chief Executive, Mr Kwaku Oppong Kyekyeku Kaakyire, has appealed to proprietors of private schools to partner government to give good moral education to children.

He said they should not make their establishments profit oriented by pushing the entire financial burden on parents but a centre for providing moral training and quality academic excellence at all levels.

Mr Oppong-Kyekyeku was speaking at the inauguration of a new school block for Enduring to Victory Preparatory School at Kronom-Abuohia near Kumasi.

He said the owner of the school needed to be commended for his efforts and advised that management kept close eyes on the studies of the children.

Mr Ignatius Mwenbe-Ere Der, the District Director of Education, said the success of any school was the quality of children in it and appealed to the teachers to work hard to compliment the efforts of management.

He said his outfit would support the school to achieve its objectives.

Mr. Obeng-Kwarteng, the owner of the school, said his aim was to make a mark in education in the country and called for support from both parents and the government.
