Catholic Voices GH successfully staged its much-anticipated 5th Lent to Easter Concert on Friday, March 27, 2026, at St Francis De Sales Cathedral, Cape Coast, drawing an audience of parishioners and members of the general public.

The spiritually enriching event brought together notable choral groups, including the St Francis De Sales Union Choir, St Peter Regional Seminary Choir (Pedu), and Moree Youth Choir GH (Moree), all of whom delivered powerful and soul-lifting performances centered on the Lenten and Easter themes.

Catholic Voices GH, the host choir, thrilled the audience with a rich repertoire of spirit-filled songs carefully selected to reflect the journey from Lent to Easter. Their performance captivated attendees, who were visibly delighted by both the musical excellence and the deep spiritual expression conveyed through their renditions.

In an open address, the Cathedral Administrator, Very Rev Fr Peter Felix Acquah-Ghann, expressed his joy at the success of the program and commended Catholic Voices GH for the initiative. He urged attendees to go beyond the musical experience and reflect deeply on the lyrics of the sacred pieces performed, emphasising their spiritual significance during the Triduum and Easter Season.

Also speaking at the event, Very Rev Fr Dominic Baffuor Akowuah, Patron of Catholic Voices GH, delivered a spirit-filled exhortation. He called on Christians worldwide to see the Easter season as a time of transformation, urging them to align their lives with the message of Christ’s death and resurrection. He stressed that Jesus’ sacrifice was purposeful and encouraged all to embrace forgiveness, live holy lives, and foster unity within families, the Church, and the nation at large.

In a post-event interview, Joseph Owusu-Addo, Executive Director of Catholic Voices GH, advised choral groups to model their lives on Christian values and place greater emphasis on music as a tool for evangelism. He highlighted the role of sacred music in spreading the Gospel and inspiring positive change in society.

The concert not only showcased musical excellence but also reinforced the importance of faith, reflection, and communal worship during the Lenten period, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
