Health teams go round to screen Food Vendors in Ho

Ho, Oct 27, GNA-The Ho Municipal Assembly Environmental Health and Sanitation Unit is to post health teams at vantage points to facilitate the medical screening of food vendors.

The team would painstakingly cover the whole municipal area. Mr Samuel Glago, Environmental Health Officer, speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on Wednesday said the scheme was contrived to raise compliance rate of health screening by food vendors.

He said a special target group in this exercise is food vendors operating on school premises. Mr Glago said after the exercise, all food vendors in the municipality must produce current health certificates, clearing him or her of certain communicable diseases on demand.
