The Headmaster of Aggrey Memorial A.M.E Zion Senior High School in Cape Coast Mr. Franklin Boadu has accused students of the school for the latest invasion of bedbugs at the various dormitories on campus.

At the 77th Speech and Prize giving day celebration, he observed that students and teachers in Aggrey Memorial Senior High School are suffering from bedbugs since 2016 and believe the latest attack has been triggered by the students who transported them from their homes.

“In the year 2016, several measures were put in place to reduce the spread of the bedbugs, however when students were returning after vacation, the bedbugs came again suggesting that some of the students bring the bedbugs from their various homes to the school and till date they are still suffering from bedbugs. So I am appealing to the PTA, and any philanthropists to come to the our aid and support us do away with the bedbugs”, he appealed

Apart from the problem of bedbugs in the school, the Headmaster added that, the school is faced with the problem of inadequate toilet and bathroom facilities, ill-equipped science and computer laboratory, insufficient staff accommodation and the need for the rewiring of the classrooms and dormitory blocks.
