The Member of Parliament for the Salaga-South Constituency, Hajia Zuwera Ibrahimah, has received 50 modern desktop computers and two laptops from the National Investment Bank (NIB).

The donation follows a formal request submitted by the MP to the bank, seeking support to strengthen ICT education at Salaga Senior High School (SASS) and T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School (T.I. AMASS) within the constituency.

Upon receiving the items on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, Hajia Zuwera expressed profound appreciation to the Managing Director, Chief Dr Doli-Wura Zakaria and his team at NIB for graciously approving and fulfilling her request.

She noted that the gesture represents not only a significant contribution to ICT development in the constituency but also a clear demonstration of the bank’s commitment to empowering young people and promoting educational advancement as part of its corporate social responsibility and community development efforts.

The two beneficiary schools have long faced challenges with access to modern ICT learning tools, making the donation a timely and impactful intervention.

The MP assured the Managing Director and the bank that the computers would be used effectively to enhance teaching and learning, improve digital literacy and strengthen the capacity of both students and teachers to engage with ICT.

She further reiterated her commitment to ensuring the prompt delivery of the computers to the schools.

Hajia Zuwera also disclosed her broader plan to adopt and modernize the ICT laboratories in both SASS and T.I. AMASS as part of her ongoing efforts to improve teaching and learning across the constituency.

She revealed that she is already collaborating with the Ministry of Education, relevant state agencies and several international NGOs and partners to undertake this important initiative and advance education more generally in the area.

The MP was accompanied by her brother and constituent, Salifu Hamid-Kanyiti, who also serves as a Personal Assistant to the Minister of Education, during the presentation of the donation.
