A grieving mother could not hold back her emotions after arriving at the scene of the fatal accident that claimed the life of her son at Nkansah Junction in Kojokrom in the Sekondi-Takoradi in the Western Region.
Her son, identified as Nathaniel Afful, popularly known as Sofo, had died instantly when the motorcycle he was riding collided head-on with a commercial minibus (trotro).
The female passenger on the motorbike was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to her injuries.

According to 3news.com report on August 18,2025, the Assembly Member for Kojokrom, Philip Nkrumah, explained that the late Afful was reportedly escorting the young woman home in the morning when the accident happened.
Philip Nkrumah, said the distraught mother was seen wailing and hitting the body of her deceased son in anguish, lamenting that he had refused to heed to advice.
“When his mother came and saw his lifeless body, she was angry and started hitting him, saying he was too stubborn and never listened to advice,” Nkrumah recounted.
The police have since commenced investigations into the accident.
