Government will not discriminate in provision of school infrastructure

Tetrem (Ash), May 21, GNA - Mr Kofi Opoku-Manu, Ashanti Regional Minister, has said that the Government would not discriminate in the provision of education infrastructure. He said Government would ensure that all school children have access= to quality education.

Mr. Opoku-Manu said these after inaugurating a new classroom block f= or the Rashidiyya Islamic Junior High School at Tetrem, built by the Afigya-Kwabre District Assembly at the cost of GH¢56,000.00. The Minister asked parents not to over burden children with household chores but to allow them more time to study. He called on Ghanaians to support government's effort at improving the education sector and appealed to communities to initiate self-help projec= ts to ease the pressure on the assemblies. people of Tetrem to maintain the classroom block. The school authorities appealed to individuals and organisations to assi= st the school to acquire furniture and teachers' accommodation.
