Gomoa West District Assembly supports Apam Police

Apam (C/R), July 6, GNA - The Gomoa West District Assembly has donated two computers with accessories worth GH?5,000 to the Police at Apam in recognition of their good work to ensure peace in the district.

Making the presentation at a get-together called WASSA organised by the police at Apam, the District Chief Executive, Mr Theophilus Aidoo-Mensah commended the police for maintaining peace in the communities.

Mr Aidoo-Mensah appealed to chiefs and prominent Ghanaians to support the police with logistics such as vehicles to enable them to carry out their patrol duties effectively to protect life and property.

The DCE said the world was becoming competitive each passing day and called on the police to upgrade themselves to meet the challenges posed by armed robbers.

He said the Assembly had also made available GH?48,000 for rehabilitation of the Police Barrack.

Superintendent Oduro Amaning, District Commander commended the District Assembly for the immense support it had given to the police.

He said the Assembly had provided them with a kitchen, a bathroom with showers, poly-tanks for storing water to be followed by the rehabilitation of the Police Barrack.

Obrempong Nyanful Krampah IX, Omanhen of Gomoa Ajumako appealed to the Police to direct land and chieftaincy cases reported to them to the traditional rulers for solution.
