Ghanaians urged to rally behind Government

Wassa PWD-Camp (W/R), Aug. 6, GNA- Nana Kojo Badu II, chief of PWD Camp in the Wassa West District has called on Ghanaians to rally behind the government to safeguard the peace and stability the country is enjoying.

Addressing a meeting of farmers from his area on Tuesday, he urged Ghanaians to avoid unnecessary criticisms against the government as this could destroy the country's peace and stability.

He commended the President for putting in place special initiatives on cassava, oil palm and garment to provide employment and improve the living conditions of Ghanaians.

Nana Badu said farmers in the area who cultivate mostly cocoa, oil palm and cassava, have embraced the President's initiatives in the three sectors.

He, however, appealed to the government to ensure regular supply of fertilizer, and other inputs to enable farmers to increase their yield. Nana Badu appealed to the district assembly and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to assist the community to construct a public place of convenience and purchase 18 low-tension electricity poles for extension of electricity to the area. 06 Aug. 03
