Ghanaian youth tasked to be innovative- Geoquaye Boss

The Director of Geoquaye Company Limited, a Kumasi based Electrical and Mechanical
Company with specialisation in the supply and services of Plants, Generators and
other electrical equipment to companies in the oil and gas, mining as well as
telecommunication industries, Mr. George Neequaye Amon, has admonished the youth of
the country to be innovative and learn hard to achieve great laurels.
He added that the youth, if they should open up for correction and adhere to the
instructions from their leaders or teachers would enable them to position themselves
to become useful persons to the society and the country at large.
Mr. Neequaye made these assertions in an interview he granted to this reporter in
Kumasi last Wednesday.
According to him, the youth must also endeavour to learn hard in their various
respective vocations in order to prepare them for waiting future job opportunities
instead of being engaged in unacceptable acts that would be inimical to the society
in which they may find themselves.
Mr. Neequaye who also doubles as the Chief Technical Officer of the company echoed
for the need for the government to consider putting in place measures that would
invest and encourage individuals who are found to be talented.
This, he mentioned as providing free and quality educational assistance and resource
individuals with the most sophisticated basic necessities to enhance their capacity.
The Kumasi based electrical and mechanical tycoon further argued that it was very
crucial for the government and its various stakeholders responsible for human
development to become aware of the importance of investing in the people by setting
up a national seed capital policy to cushion individuals who desire to set up their
small business.
The move; if carefully looked into by the government will go a long way to motivate
and strengthen the youth to become independent and contribute immensely to help
boost the economy of the country.
He stressed that, since the establishment of his company in September 1996 the
company has taken up the initiative of training individuals who are determined to
learn a vocation.
This platform, he intimated is opened to all individuals who are willing to learn to
secure a better future for themselves.
He also added that, Geoquaye Company Limited, as part of its contribution to the
society will continue to support individuals who are prepared to be trained as
electricians and technicians.
