The Ghana Red Cross, on Friday performed a ground breaking ceremony for the commencement of work on the construction of a 20-unit two bedroom houses for flood victims at Asunafo in the Atiwa District.

The project worth GH¢ 240,000 was sponsored by the Swiss Red Cross and would cater for 20 families.

Mr Emmanuel Atta Twum, District Chief Executive, expressed gratitude to the Society for the kind gesture and appealed to the beneficiaries to stick to the contract agreement.

Mr Addae Kyeremeh, Representative of the Swiss Red Cross, urged the people to form a Red Cross club in the community so that they could be assisted whenever they encountered any challenge.**
