In an interview with her, she said that what has brought her this far was self-motivation, determination, and focus.

‘‘After realizing this potential, I knew it was a God-given talent since I didn’t go to anyone for some sort of training and so I decided not to give up on it.

Besides, I have mad passion for what I do to the extent that I can spend all my money on buying beads and other production material. I would like to say very big ‘thank you’ to God, the organisers of this event, and also to all my customers and supporters so far’’ she stated.

Advising the youth, she said ‘‘it is important for every youth to discover their potential especially in an era where unemployment is a major problem in our country and even on the globe as a whole.

However, she mentioned that her major challenges so far have been the space for operations and capital for expansion of her business.

Joyce added that the award will serve as a greater source of motivation and inspiration to do more and better.

‘‘This award means greater expectations from me. It also means that what I thought I was doing in my one little corner (that is my porch) has gain recognition beyond my little corner which makes me feel extremely good. It also has given me the urge to do greater exploits”.
