GCB finances three-classroom block for Bomaa R/C JHS

Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) is financing the construction of a three-classroom block, office and toilet facilities, for the Bomaa Roman Catholic Model Junior High School in the Tano North District of the Brong-Ahafo Region.

Mrs Thyra Obuobi, Head of Corporate Affairs of the Bank, who disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Accra, said Management has consequently released an amount of 50,000 Ghana Cedis for the project, which demonstrates GCB’s commitment to its Corporate Social Responsibility.

Mrs Obuobi said the structures accommodating the 184 pupils of the school, were in a very dilapidated state, and for that matter, the project would bring a big sigh of relief to the school authorities who made the appeal to the Bank sometime last year.

She was optimistic that upon completion, the project would go a long way to provide teaching and learning comforts to both the teachers and pupils of the school.

Mrs Obuobi recalled that in December 2013, the Bank commissioned a similar project it financed at Fawoman in the Ashanti Region, for pre-school children, and intimated that the Bomaa project would be ready for commissioning before the end of the year
