Freemasons Donate to Kwahu Gov't Hospital

The Okwahuman Freemasonry Lodge, a society comprising Kwahu citizens both at home and abroad has presented a number of items to the Kwahu Government Hospital at Kwahu Atibie.

The items included mattresses, blankets, bed-sheets, pillowcases and others. Presenting the items, Mr. K. D. Ntiri, a leading member of the group, stated that the hospital has over the years served the people in the area effectively in their health needs and it is necessary that all Kwahu citizens assist the hospital to enable it to continue its good works to the people.

Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, the acting medical officer of the hospital, Dr. Alexander Osei Bonsu, thanked the group for their donation and said the items would be put to good use to benefit the people.

He said the hospital needs a lot of assistance and therefore called on all and sundry to come to its aid.

The district director of Health Services, Dr. Joseph Kwadwo Larbi Opare, in his short remarks expressed his appreciation to the group and hoped that more of such donations would continue to come in future.

They used the occasion to appeal to all Kwahu citizens and others in the Kwahu South District to join the Okwahuman Health Insurance Scheme, which has been established to ensure affordable and accessible health delivery in the area.
