Former Director General of GPHA supports Nyameben D/A Basic School

Paul Asare Ansah, former Director General of GPHA, now Technical Adviser to the Ministry of Transport, National Focal Person for Africa Union Transport Sector Projects in Ghana and the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Asuogyaman has donated 50 bags of cement to Nyameben D/A Basic School, near Akosombo as part of his contribution to improve the standard of education in the district.

This is in response to a request the Headmistress of the school made at the commissioning of a building project last week Friday, 18th October, 2019.

Presenting the donation on behalf of Mr Paul Ansah, Mr. David Sosu, the Asuogyaman Constituency Organizers of the NPP noted that improving the standard of education in Asuogyaman requires extra strategic interventions. It is in this regard that Mr Ansah has teamed up with the District Directorate of Education to plan and ensure that the district scores 100% in the B.E.C.E by 2020. Through his previous interventions the results of the BECE Exams improved from 67.3% pass in 2017 to 73.1% in 2018.

Paul Ansah's support for education in the district in 2019 includes provision of educational materials and support for primary and JHS schools. Others are sponsorship for the B.E.C.E mock exams, extra classes for B.E.C.E candidates, prospectus sponsorship for B.E.C.E candidates who score aggregate 6-10, spelling and quiz competitions for primary and secondary schools, support for library projects, providing access to past questions and examiners' reports as well as support for speech and prize giving day.

In her remarks, the Headmistress of the school, Madam Victoria Awusi Gamma praised Mr. Paul Ansah for responding swiftly to the request for assistance to build canteen and urinal for Nyameben D/A Basic School. She asked for God's blessings for Mr Ansah in his persuits and called on other citizens to emulate his shining example.
