Foreigner donates to SDA school

Busunya (B/A) Aug. 24, GNA- Mr. Marino Malaguti, an Italian, has donated two computers and a quantity of educational materials worth millions of cedis to Busunya Seventh Day Adventist Primary School in Nkoranza district.

The other items were pencils and pens, crayons and exercise books. Mr. Malaguti, who is married to Madam Akosua Amobea, a citizen of the town, said the gesture was to help promote education in the community.

Mr. Emmanuel Opoku-Wiafe, Headmaster of the school told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the items would help the students to become computer literate.

He expressed appreciation to the donor and appealed to other philanthropists to assist the school.

Mr. Opoku-Wiafe said the donor had also promised to assist the community to construct a three-classroom block for the SDA kindergarten.

He called on citizens of Busunya resident abroad to also help to develop the community.

Mr. Malaguti about two years ago donated a large water-pumping machine to the community.
