A devastating collision between a VIP Jeoun bus and a Toyota-Yaris on the Agona-Tano Dumase highway has resulted in the deaths of five people, leaving several injured.

The accident occurred around 11:45 pm on Thursday, October 9, 2025, after the VIP driver attempted to overtake another vehicle at high speed, crashing into the oncoming Toyota private car at Kona in the Sekyere South District of the Ashanti Region

According to an eyewitness account, the collision was severe on the Toyota private vehicle, causing extensive damage and resulting in the death of all five people who were on board

OTEC News reporter Isaac revealed that the Toyota driver was a pastor who was returning home after evening service with some of his members

The VIP bus, which was traveling from Yeji to Kade, sustained major damage to its front and top sides, while the Toyota private car traveling from Kona to Tano Dumase was destroyed

Police reportedly arrived at the scene promptly but have not made a single rescue, leaving the passengers who were in the VIP stranded and injured

Unfortunately, five passengers on the Toyota vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.

Photos emerging from the accident scene showed the red Toyota car with a caved-in roof, broken windows, and parts of the car scattered across the scene.
