Five babies delivered at Takoradi Government Hospital on Christmas and Boxing days

The Takoradi Government Hospital on Christmas and Boxing Day recorded five deliveries.

Three of the babies all males were delivered on Christmas day, with two through normal delivery whilst the other was through caesarean session.

The babies weighed between 2.9kg and 3.5kg.

On Boxing Day, two babies, a boy and girl were born. They were born through normal delivery and weighed between 2.7kg and 3.0kg respectively.

A Staff midwife at the maternity ward, Ms Rebecca Kabuteye advised pregnant women to take their antenatal clinic serious to enable them have healthy babies through safe deliveries.

She cautioned new-born mothers to be mindful of their diets after delivery and advised them to exercise regularly.

Ms Kabuteye also urged them to pay attention to their health needs by visiting the hospital when there was any problem.
