Fire destroys DCE's office at Zabzugu-Tatale

Zabzugu-Tatale, June 21, GNA - The Zabzugu-Tatale District Chief |Executive's Office was on Wednesday engulfed by fire destroying office items and equipment worth millions of cedis.

According to Mr. Sarfo Agyepong Kantanka, District Coordinating Director of Zabzugu-Tatale, the fire started around 1435 hours in the office of the DCE, Alhaji Yuakubu Bukari.

He said it was by the efforts of the entire people of Zabzugu-Tatale township that the fire was put off before the arrival of the Ghana Fire Service from Yendi. According to Mr. Kantanka, the whole Assembly block would have been burnt to ashes before the arrival of the Ghana Fire Service from Yendi which is about 48 kilometres from Zabzugu. He said the cause of the fire is not yet known but they suspect it was caused by electrical fault.
