Farmer stabs brother over payment of under $1 loan

Reuben Gollo, 35, a farmer at Adaklu-Vodze in the Ho District on Friday April four, stabbed his younger brother in the abdomen following a misunderstanding over the payment of 7,000 cedis loan he obtained from the brother.

Simon Gollo, the victim, who survived is on admission at the Ho Regional Hospital.

Mr Nicholas Blewushie, Ho District Police Commander told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on Tuesday that investigations showed that Simon lent the amount to Reuben, both of whom live in their father's house in Adaklu-Vodze.

He said Reuben became intolerant when Simon's demands for the money and attacked him, first by slashing his wrist and then stabbing the abdomen.

He said Simon who took to his heels after the attack collapsed and was later rushed to the hospital.

A report was made to the Police on Saturday April 5 and Reuben was arrested, Mr Blewushie said.
