Experimental School One receives classroom desks

The St. Paul Kpehe Credit Cooperative Credit Union has donated 25 dual school desks to Experimental School One to support teaching and learning at the Ayawaso Central Constituency.

The presentation, held on the school’s premises, forms part of the Credit Union’s corporate social responsibility initiatives aimed at improving educational infrastructure within the community.

Kenneth Louise Morton, Treasurer of the Credit Union, who presented the items on behalf of the Board, said the gesture was to assist the school in addressing some of its furniture challenges.

“On behalf of the Board of St. Paul Kpehe Credit Cooperative Credit Union, we are pleased to make this donation to the school. We hope it will support academic work and provide comfort for the pupils,” he said.

He noted that the Union remained committed to supporting community development, particularly in the area of education, which he described as a critical pillar for national growth.

Gideon Mensah, PTA Chairman of Experimental School One, expressed appreciation to the Credit Union for the support.

“We are grateful for this kind gesture. These desks will go a long way to improve teaching and learning in the school,” he said.

He assured the donors that the school authorities and the Parent-Teacher Association would ensure that the desks are properly maintained.

“We promise to take very good care of what you have given us. When you visit again, you will see that the items have been well kept and are being put to good use,” he added.

Mensah further appealed to other corporate bodies and benevolent organisations to emulate the example of the Credit Union by extending support to the school.

Present at the ceremony were Bernard Okai, Manager of St. Paul Kpehe Credit Cooperative Credit Union; Dr. Thomas Mensah Abobi, Board Chairman; and Michael Atitsogbui, Supervisory Committee Officer of the Union.

The school management described the donation as timely, noting that additional classroom furniture would help reduce congestion and create a more conducive environment for effective teaching and learning.

The management of the school, on behalf of the headmistress, staff, pupils, PTA, and the local education authorities, conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to the Credit Union for the intervention.
