The Executive Purposeful Ladies Ministry (EPLM), a non-denominational network of ladies in fellowship, has donated assorted food items and toiletries worth GHC3,000.00 to the inmates of the Akuse Female Prisons.

The items included food and non-alcoholic beverages, detergents, sanitary towels, soaps, bathroom slippers, and Bibles.

The Ministry, in a statement to the Ghana News Agency on Monday, explained that the gesture formed part of its efforts to care and show love to the less privileged, as the celebration of Easter signifies.

Mrs Mina Lassey, the Founder and President of EPLM, said: “As Christians, God expects us to visit and share with the less privileged and needy as stated in Mathew 25:39. Even though our sisters find themselves in an unexpected situation, God has still not forgotten about them.”

She, therefore, prayed that God’s divine purpose for their lives would be established as in the case of Joseph, who found himself in a similar situation.

She called on other women ministries to demonstrate God’s love to the less privileged in society.

Assistant Superintendent of Prisons, Dorothy Dery Naaifaar, the Warden of the Prisons, who received the items, thanked EPLM for showing love, kindness and support to the inmates and called on other ministries to do likewise.

EPLM is a non-denominational network of ladies who have come together to fellowship, share ideas and experiences to equip themselves to prosper, thrive and reach their full potential in serving God.

The Ministry also seeks to raise women leaders to live in full submission to Christ as Lord, and also live and love.

As apart of fulfilling its Mission and Vision, EPLM extends support to the vulnerable and less privileged.
