The Member of Parliament for Ablekuma North, Ewurabena Aubynn, joined congregants of the Trinity Presbyterian Church at Kwashieman in a special thanksgiving service to express her heartfelt gratitude to God for His providence and guidance over the past year.
The thanksgiving, according to the MP, comes on the heels of what she described as an eventful and challenging political year.
The 2024 parliamentary elections were marked by a delayed declaration of results and the subsequent conduct of polls in remaining electoral areas, developments that tested the patience, faith, and resolve of the people of Ablekuma North.
The process eventually culminated in the official declaration of Madam Aubynn as the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma North, a milestone she attributed to divine intervention and the unwavering support of her constituents.
Reflecting on her journey so far as a new entrant into Parliament, the MP reaffirmed her commitment to effective representation, strong advocacy, and inclusive development.
She highlighted her early initiatives, continuous engagements with residents, and the importance of maintaining open channels of communication to ensure that the concerns of the people are adequately represented on the floor of Parliament.
Madam Aubynn also used the occasion to underscore the impact she hopes to make through the Ablekuma North Sports Union (ANSU), a newly launched initiative aimed at identifying and nurturing sporting talents while creating opportunities, particularly for the youth and other vulnerable groups.
She appealed to constituents, traditional leaders, and key stakeholders to rally behind the initiative, emphasising that collective support would be essential to achieving its long-term objectives.
In the spirit of the Christmas festive season, the MP spent time interacting personally with widows in the church, offering them words of encouragement and a modest token of support.

The gesture was warmly received and drew admiration from congregants, who described it as a clear demonstration of her compassion and people-centred leadership.
The thanksgiving service was attended by chiefs, elders, opinion leaders, and constituents from across the Ablekuma North constituency, many of whom pledged their continued support for the MP’s vision and leadership.
Madam Aubynn called on the people of Ablekuma North to remain united, prayerful, and actively involved in the development of the constituency, emphasising that her victory in Parliament was a shared achievement and that her success would ultimately be measured by the collective progress of the people she serves.
