Engage qualified electricians to wire your houses -Nuamah Dadieh

New Town (W/R), July 1, GNA - Mr Sylvester Nuamah Dadieh, the Jomoro District Chief Executive, has advised that communities being connected to the national electrification grid should engage qualified electricians to wire their homes.

Mr Dadieh gave the advice when he met the chiefs and people of Anlomatuape, Metika and New Town near Half Assini in the Western Region adding that they should use quality materials in wiring their homes.

He reminded the people that improper wiring of houses with cheap and inferior materials could cause fire to their homes.

Mr Dadieh said thirty-two communities in the District are to be hooked to the national grid within the next two to three months.

He advised school children from the beneficiary communities to use the electricity to study hard, adding that by graduating from their studies, they could gain employment in any of the numerous companies that are coming to the area as a result of the oil discovery.

Mr Dadieh also urged the residents in the communities to use the electricity to establish cottage industries and other income generating ventures.

He said Ghanaians would see more of such facilities under rule of Professor Evans Atta Mills and his NDC government.
