Ellembelle MP connects six farming communities to national electricity grid

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ellembelle Constituency in the Western region, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, has connected six farming communities in the Aiyinasi North of his Constituency to the national electricity grid to boost social and economic activities of the residents.

The beneficiary farming communities are: New Adiembra, Essaman, Abijan, Anloga, Asoredanho and Dotsekrom.

The residents in the Aiyinasi North enclave commended Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah for connecting over twenty communities in the area to the national electricity grid since he became their MP in 2009.

"Before 2009, no community here was connected to the national electricity grid, we were then described as foreigners here but today Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah has connected all the communities in Aiyinasi North to the national electricity grid, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah loves us, he has done a lot for us, he constructed our main road from Nzema Aiyinasi to this place", they said.

They also commended him by stating that: "All the health facilities you see here in the Aiyinasi North were built by Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, and we pray to God to give him long life".

They stated that the electricity connection would change their lives.

"This electricity will change our lives because we will not travel to long distances to charge our phones, we will also watch TV here, and our schoolchildren will not rely on torchlight for studies in the evening.

In 2020, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah connected six farming communities in the Aiyinasi North to the national electricity grid.

Speaking to Daniel Kaku on Sunday, October 26, 2025, after commissioning, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, who is also the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, commended the contractor and his hardworking workers for completing the project on time.

He also thanked the residents there for rallying behind the contractor to complete the project.

He noted that access to electricity marks a new chapter for residents.

Armah-Kofi Buah disclosed to our reporter that very soon Obayeboe near Aiyinasi Nyamebekyere and Ensonyameye in his Constituency would be connected to the national electricity grid.

He took the opportunity to advise the residents in Aiyinasi North to stay away from galamsey in order to protect the farmlands and water bodies over there.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ellembelle, Joseph Agyekum, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah for always thinking about the good people of Aiyinasi North.

He pledged his total commitment to liaise with Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah to develop the Ellembelle district.

He urged the good people of Aiyinasi North to continue to live in peace and unity.

Nana Etwe Kpanyinli VI, the divisional Chief of Nzema Aiyinasi, commended Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah for connecting the communities in the Aiyinasi North to the national electricity grid.

He charged his people to make good use of the project by protecting it.
